Our three fabric options

Remarkable offers three different fabric options, such as, Acrylic, Olefin and Polyester. They materials all differ in their product quality features & benefits and also durability and colour-fastness, offering a wide range of options to suit different needs.

Premium Acrylic

Our premium acrylic fabric is resistant to UV damage and fading, providing the strongest colourfast across the three main fabric options available. This fabric offers softness, vibrancy, durability & stain resistance, due to the strong bond between the atoms in the acrylic molecules. The structure of the fibres, provides ultraviolet blocking agents, which protect the polymer backbone of the fabric from the effect of UV radiation, making it perfect for all outdoor applications. The overall fabric features & structure, provide a proven strong ability to help withstand the effects of exposure to sunlight, wind, rain and humidity.

Olefin

Olefin (polypropylene) fabrics are made of synthetic fibres that are durable and stain resistant and are designed to have good benefits for exposure to outside weather conditions. It is stronger and more colourfast compared than a Polyester fabric. We recommend keeping cushions dry, vacuum or wipe over regularly and avoid leaving in direct sunlight for long periods of time, to ensure the longevity of your furniture.

Polyester

With a natural and breathable feel, our polyester fabric enjoy stain resistant, mould and mildew resistant feature. However, it is the least colourfast in the three fabrics and has overall lower features and benefits than the Acrylic & Olefin fabric options. Fading will occur within a few months when expose directly to the weather. As such, it is highly recommended to always store these cushions undercover on your patio, under an outdoor furniture cover or under a shaded area.

Clean & Maintenance

  • Regularly brush off any loose dirt and dust when dry.
  • Sponge lightly with a mild solution of nature soap in lukewarm water to remove the spots, rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
  • Allow fabric to air dry.
  • Cushion covers are removable via zip for easy washing if required, which is recommended to prevent any build up on the fabric or in the fibres.
  • Although our fabrics are designed for outdoor use, it is recommended to keep cushions indoors or well covered with outdoor furniture covers when they are not in-use, to extend the life of the products.
  • We also recommend the use of the Golden Care ® Fabric & Upholstery Protector, to provide extra protection to your outdoor furniture investment. WARNING Avoid scrubbing and do not use any brushes with hard bristles. Do not use foam inner sections without a cushion cover
